Key Deliverables / Competencies across the Tenure
Auditing
  • Conducting various audit reviews for a range of companies.
  • Performing half-yearly/annual audits, establishing the intensity of audit risks involved, and preparing the action plan.
  • Strategizing the audit plan, auditing balance sheet items, and discussing financial statements with the concerned authorities of the entity as required.
  • Securing data of the firms accounting records and systems, classifying the physical nature of assets and liabilities.
  • Reporting directly to the Principal or Partner depending upon the nature, level of audit risk involved, and importance of the audit assignment.
Direct Taxation / Income Tax Advisory
  • Providing direct tax advice, compliance, and consultancy services across a range of tax matters and industries.
  • Responsible for preparing tax computation, tax returns, and deferred tax position as well making recommendations on issues concerning corporate tax, value added tax, and income tax as required.
  • Involving in accurate and timely reporting and compliance including quarterly calculation, recording and reporting of provisional, annual preparation of draft returns and calculation of liabilities.
  • Tracking and monitoring changes in the Income-tax Act, procedures, Circulars, Notifications and case laws and communicating the relevant changes to Finance and Accounts Team on regular intervals.
  • Assisting clients in tax-related concerns prior to obtaining feedbacks from respective statutory bodies.
Finance Management
  • Developing effective financial management mechanisms to minimize financial risks.
  • Preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
  • Formulating business plans by conducting a comprehensive research on factors influencing business performance.
  • Evaluating financial reporting systems, accounting and collection procedures, and investment activities.
  • Making recommendations for changes in procedures pertaining to operating systems, budgets and other financial control functions; developing and analyzing information to assess the present and future financial status of firms.
  • Evaluating data pertaining to costs and forecasting budgets; overseeing the flow of cash and financial instruments.
Legal Advisory / Litigation
  • Managing complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation.
  • Servicing a diverse clientele in various matters including: products liability, commercial litigation, accountants' liability, securities litigation and regulatory enforcement, corporate governance, special investigations, trusts and estates, insurance and reinsurance, and intellectual property.
  • Advising clients on legal rights, developing legal documents and conducting criminal lawsuits.
